The FCB sets educational and training requirements for certified professionals in Florida. To retain certified status, each professional is required to submit a certain number of CEUs annually. (See individual credential applications for the specific number of CEUS required)  

The FCB approves qualified trainers to provide educational offerings to its certified population.

The Role of Approved Providers

Qualified trainers are required to ensure educational opportunities are readily available to certified professionals at various locations throughout Florida. To accomplish this, the FCB approves individuals and agencies that are qualified to conduct training sessions. These FCB-approved providers conduct trainings which reflect the current needs of addiciton, mental health, prevention and child welfare professionals. In addition, all approved providers must adhere to the rules of the FCB.
