CERTIFICATION OPERATIONS Become An Education ProviderTraining | FCB Approved Providers | Become An Education Provider The FCB sets the educational and training requirements for certified addiction professionals in Florida. To retain certified status each addiction professional is required to submit 20 hours of training annually and 10 CEUs for the CBHT level. The FCB approves qualified trainers to provide educational offerings to its certified population. The Role of Approved Providers Qualified trainers are required to ensure that educational opportunities are readily available to certified addiction professionals at various locations throughout Florida. To accomplish this, The FCB approves individuals and agencies that are qualified to conduct training sessions. These FCB-approved providers conduct trainings that reflect the current needs of counselors in the addiction field. In addition, all approved providers must adhere to the rules of the FCB.
